Overview
Trivia cards ask fans to answer a trivia question. When the fan selects a response, they will see if they answered correctly or incorrectly and the live results of all other fans who have responded.
Create a trivia card
Click the + New Comm button. Name your communication so you’ll be able to identify it later and select the Question tile. Trivia is the default question type.
Design your question
Select the audience you want this communication to go to.
By default, All Mobile Users will be selected. This includes all fans who’ve downloaded and registered for your mobile app.
To send the communication to a different audience, click the Edit button and choose a different audience.
Add an image or video to your communication
Your image or video will be saved in its original dimensions, whether it’s wide, tall or square. In the app, your image or video will take up the full width of the screen, and the height will automatically adjust. Fans can also tap on the image to see it in full-screen mode.
To adjust the crop of your image, click on the pencil icon next to the image thumbnail:
Type your question and the answer choices. You can have 2 to 4 answers.
Select the correct answer for your question. You can reorder the answers as well.
You can promote the card with a push notification that pops up as an alert on the phone. Add a catchy notification that fans will see in their alerts. 💡 Tip: Emojis are encouraged here 👀
When you’re satisfied with your content, click Review in the bottom right.
💡Tip: Click Save & exit to save your card as a draft and continue editing it later.
Review settings
Select a send date for your question. You can either choose a specific day and time or send it immediately.
If your question is event-specific or time-sensitive, you may want to stop allowing fans to answer the question at a certain time. To do this, turn on “stop accepting responses” and choose a time. This will disable the answer buttons but keep the card visible in the fan’s home feed.
By default, your trivia card will never expire, meaning it will remain on the fan’s home feed indefinitely. You can also select a specific day and time for it to expire (disappear from the app).
Advanced settings:
Trigger by location: This option is available if you are sending your communication to a specific audience (not all mobile users) and have a geofence configured for your app. When you toggle this option on, you can choose a location to send it to and if fans are inside or outside of that location.
Campaign and sponsor tags: You can add tags for the campaign or sponsor this communication belongs with. These tags become filters in your communications list.
When you’re ready to send or schedule your card, click the Send or Schedule button in the bottom right. Your card will be sent to your chosen audience at the time you’ve selected, and you’ll be able to see engagement metrics in your communications list.
Retarget fans
On the results page, you can see how many fans selected each answer. You can also quickly retarget everyone who got it right or wrong by using the Retarget Audience shortcut at the bottom of the page. This will allow you to immediately create a new communication for all the fans you’ve selected.
