What is a widget?

How much control do I have over widgets or images?
The layout of the app is very configurable, but you will need to contact your Client Success Lead to make updates to your mobile app content and widget layout. As a best practice, it is recommended to limit the frequency of changes to the mobile app layout and user experience.
Sponsorship images can be updated in the sponsorship management tool located in the Admin section under your Username dropdown menu.
Tip: Widget and image sizes are static and cannot be changed.
What is a tab and how many tabs can I have in the app?
When you open the app, you will see tabs (or icons) on the bottom of the screen. Each tab presents different experiences and widgets within the app, typically grouped together by a specific category. The mobile app can accommodate 3 to 5 tabs.
What are feeds and what do they do?
Mobile app widgets are populated with information supplied by a number of feeds provided by the client and/or third-party providers. Below is a list of the different types of feeds available that fill the app with content. For feed specifications, please reach out to your Client Success Lead.

What is the difference between a core and configuration change?
In order to build a mobile app, there are a number of assets needed. Some of these assets are considered core while others are configured. The difference between the two is determined by what is required for approval by the Apple and Google Play stores. The information below outlines the difference between the two, specifically which assets fall under core or configurable.
Core
Requires app store update (2-3 weeks)
Launch screen update (Background or Sponsor Image)
Onboarding slide image or text updates (4 screens when opening app for the first time)
Header image / color updates
New / custom icons
Configurable Changes
No app store update required (Instantly updated via app manager in the platform, with the exception of venue image updates)
Widget / page layout updates (i.e. move the Twitter widget up, add a Tickets tab, add Button List)
Button updates (i.e. add button with link to website, change the link behind existing button)
Venue image update
Image widget banner / sponsor updates
Add / update a “Fan Favorites” question
